A Chinese junior student in college has caused a stir on social media after she gave birth to her second child recently.
Liang Baoyi is a Broadcasting and Hosting Art major in Guangzhou University. She got pregnant when she entered the university and had her first child a year after. Now, she is a mother for the second time.
Liang says many people urged her to have an abortion this time around, but she could not do that to her child.
"I lost my father when I was in high school. Since then, I really want to have a complete family of my own."
Liang says her teachers and classmates really understand her. When she needs to breast-feed her baby, she can just ask for a leave during the class.
Hearing her story, Chinese netizens took to Weibo to offer their congratulations. Many say this is an inspiring story after the 'one-child' policy officially ended in China.
@Potato_xiangxiang: The student is so pretty and brave! Giving birth to a child is easy, but taking responsibility for the child is not!
@I_am_a_Little_doctor: I think the girl is doing the right thing! She has accomplished two of most important things in life, getting married and having a child. In comparison, most of us are just having fun in college.
@silvergirl: I do not see it as a big deal. A lot of girls in foreign countries are having their second or even third child in college. It is her choice, and all married couples in China are now allowed to have a second child. So why not?
@YiRanWeiYi: She's having a second child in college while I am still worrying about my final exam. Talk about difference!
